First and foremost, thank you to all of those who bought Branches Noir. Rebuilding and starting new, particularly in this market, has been, well, scary and we were not expecting to sell out. We did though, thanks to you, and for that, I am so very, very grateful.
Most of our summer has been spent reorganizing and we have focused considerable attention on our dobbies. Personally (and I am biased), I am in love with our dobbies for they are the epitome of the magic that happens with transformation. They’re also just snuggly and soft and even though it’s still hot as balls here in Southern California, I do have my Phlox Geranium underneath my desk, so I can curl my toes up in it while I work. Maybe that’s weird, but whatever, I’m just going to roll with it.
As I said, we have spent the summer with our dobbies, exploring new designs and colorways and honestly, trying to figure out how to bring the price point down. They are an awesome work horse wrap, woven and finished with great care and attention to detail, and will work well as your car wrap or the wrap that’s pulled out for special occasions (we all have that wrap, right? I mean, I still do, and I’m not wrapping regularly any more at all). How could we make the dobbies more exciting and sexy? More affordable? More intriguing?
So here’s where we are starting:
We are introducing a new dobby pattern: Honeycomb, which will be available for sale starting tomorrow. Many of you have had the chance to wrap with this lovely and have been calling it Mini Miel. Wrapping with it does call to mind the wonderful texture of our Miel. What’s even more amazing is the transformation that Honeycomb undergoes: in loom state, it is flat, dense, and dare I say it, fairly boring. After a wash though, it is totally transformed into this lovely, squishy, soft wrap with texture you just want to smoosh in your hands. Half the fun of Honeycomb is seeing the textile transformation. Get ready for a release soon! And don’t worry—you will be seeing the release of old favorites like Phlox, Galax and Lucinda as well. And can we take a minute to thank Natasha for spearheading the Pavoteenie program and sending out Honeycomb to be put through its paces? She’s amazing. Just saying.
We are also very excited to announce that we have been able to figure out a way to lower the price of our dobbies. Like I am super excited about this. Our new pricing is listed below:
Size 3: $80
Size 4: $90
Size 5: $100
Size 6: $120
Size 7: $140
Size 8: $160
Size 9: $180
We have fussed and hemmed and hawed over this for the past three months and finally figured it all out after much work. We hope everyone else is as excited for this new pricing as we are.
Here’s looking forward to a fabulous fall and cooler temperatures!
